May 25th, 2013 - Carrier Jr. Competes in 21st Annual Show Me 100

1For the second time in his career Eddie Carrier Jr. made the trip to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) on Thursday evening as he competed in the opening round of the 21st Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100. A $5,000 winner's check was posted for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) program, and with pill draw determing heat race line ups Eddie received the sixth starting spot for the second heat race. He advanced to a fourth place finish in the heat, which left him just short of locking into the 40 lap feature, and as a result he had to run a b-main. In the b-main he narrowly claimed the second and final transfer spot, which positioned him starting twenty-first on the feature grid. In the main event he battled the handle on his entry as he only managed a twenty-second place finish at the checkered flag.

On Friday evening preliminary action was held for the $30,000-to-win, 21st Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil 1Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Lucas Oil Speedway. A stout field of seventy-two competitors dropped their name into the hat to do battle in the big event, and time trials positioned Eddie starting fourth in his heat race. He battled for a transfer spot for much of the heat, before finishing one spot shy in the fourth position. As a result he was forced to run a b-main on Saturday night, and would again fall just short of transferring to the feature. As a result he was forced to utilize a provisional to start the 100 lap finale in the twenty-seventh spot. During the course of the feature he advanced eight spots to finish nineteenth.

Carrier Jr. continues to sit ninth in the latest LOLMDS standings. Full results from the event and the latest standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.

May 18th, 2013 - Carrier Jr. Caught in Wreck at Batesville
1Eddie Carrier Jr. made his first-ever trip to Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) over the weekend for the 2nd Annual Bad Boy 98, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).

With forty Super Late Models entered into the program Eddie raced to a third place finish in his heat race on Friday evening to lock into the ninth starting spot for the 98 lap finale, which was held on Saturday night.

The team had high hopes for the $20,000-to-win feature, and early in the race Carrier Jr. was on the move before he was collected in a lap 14 multi-car melee. He received extensive body damage to his spoiler and rear deck. He rejoined the tail of the field and continued for several more laps before the damage ultimately forced him to retire to a disappointing nineteenth place finish.

Eddie is now ninth in the latest LOLMDS standings. Full results from the event and the latest standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.

May 11th, 2013 - Carrier Jr. Finishes Seventh with LOLMDS at La Salle
1It was back to business with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) over the weekend as the Grover Motorsports team traveled to La Salle Speedway (La Salle, Illinois) for what was scheduled to be a doubleheader of action.

On Friday night a strong field of competitors were on hand to go into battle in a $10,000-to-win program. Unfortunately just before hot laps track officials were forced to cancel the program as heavy rain from the night prior left the track unsafe for racing.

As a result the weekend was reduced to a single $10,000-to-win race on Saturday evening as thirty-eight entries took to the 1/4 mile oval. The night started on a high note for the Salt Rock Express as he blazed to fast time honors in qualifications with a 13.679 second lap around the bull ring. A second place finish in his heat race positioned Carrier Jr. starting fifth in the feature. He battled in the top five ealry in the race before ultimately registering a seventh place finish.

Eddie sits eighth in the latest LOLMDS standings. Full results from the event and the latest standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.

May 6th, 2013 - Mixed Bag of Results for Carrier Jr. in Southern 100
1With the weekend's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events in Illinois and Kentucky being washed away by Mother Nature, Eddie Carrier Jr. changed his plans to enter the annual Southern 100 at Southern Ohio Speedway (Wheelersburg, Ohio).

On Friday evening thirty-nine Super Late Model competitors looked to challenge the $4,000-to-win, unsanctioned event, and a third place finish in the second heat race locked him into the tenth starting spot for the 40 lap finale. In the main event he survived rough and dusty conditions to record a sixth place finish behind race winner, Steve Francis, Jonathan Davenport, Bobby Pierce, Doug Drown, and Tim Dohm.

Saturday night found Carrier Jr. returning to pursue the $12,000 top prize. Unfortunately it would be a rough night for Eddie as struggles in heat race action left him finishing eleventh. He started at the tail of a b-main and raced his way several spots to a third place finish, but with only the top two finishers transferring to the feature his night came to a disappointing early end.
