February 14th, 2016 - Carrier Jr. Ends Busy Week With Top Five at BRP
Continuing on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tour, Eddie Carrier Jr. made the trip to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Friday night for the opening night of Winternationals. Competing in a field of thirty-five cars, Carrier landed a runner-up finish in his heat behind Billy Moyer Jr. With $5,000 on the line in the 25-lap A-Main, Eddie fell one spot recording a 9th place outing.

The following night in a field of forty-one Super Late Models, Eddie Carrier Jr. landed a runner-up finish in his heat behind Jared Landers. Paying $5,000 to the 25-lap feature winner, Carrier Jr. gained one spot trailing Josh Richards, Scott Bloomquist, Tim McCreadie, and Jonathan Davenport across the finish line.

On Wednesday night for the third night of action in the LOLMDS Winternationals, Eddie Carrier Jr. followed up the 5th fastest qualifying time in his group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Jonathan Davenport. Earning a 3rd row starting position for the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Eddie held his starting position for all 35-laps recording a 6th place spot.

1Competing in a field of thirty-eight entries on Thursday night, Eddie posted the 5th fastest qualifying time in his group earning him a 2nd row starting position for his heat. Edging his way into the main event with a 3rd place outing, Carrier Jr. was slated to start 9th for the main event. Battling for another $7,000 payday, Eddie Carrier Jr. held his positon for all 45-laps recording a 9th place finish.

Earning a 2nd row starting spot for his heat on Friday night based off his qualifying time, Eddie Carrier Jr. would need a 4th place or better in his heat to make the $10,000-to-win main event. Getting tangled up with another competitor on the lap-7 of his heat, Carrier retired an 8th place exit sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Coming up short of a transfer position in his consolation event, Eddie was granted a provisional for the A-Main. Starting near the tail, Eddie Carrier Jr. stormed his way through the field advancing eleven spots in the 50-lap affair recording a 13th place finish.

Competing in the final night of the LOLMDS Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida), Eddie was sent to the consolation event for another shot at the feature after coming one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place outing. Edging his way into the feature with a runner-up finish behind Kyle Bronson, Carrier Jr. transferred into the A-Main with 20th place starting position. Battling for a $12,000 payday, Eddie Carrier Jr. improved three spots in the 60-lapper retiring a 17th place outing.

Wrapping up action-packed week, Carrier headed to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Sunday for the LOLMDS Bubba Army Winternationals. Competing in a field of twenty-six Super Late Models, Eddie earned a front row spot for the feature after capturing a heat race victory. Starting alongside Scott Bloomquist, Carrier Jr. was looking for his first victory of the season in the 50-lap A-Main. Falling two positions, Eddie Carrier Jr. scored a 4th place finish behind Jonathan Davenport, Josh Richards, and Brandon Sheppard with Frank Heckenast Jr. coming in 5th. (Heath Lawson Photos)

February 7th, 2016 - Carrier Jr. Begins Speedweeks With Great Start
Making his way to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia), Eddie Carrier Jr. kicked off the 2016 season by attending the inaugural Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event on Friday night. Attracting forty-five Super Late Models for the Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing, Eddie scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Brian Shirley transferring him into the main event with a 4th row starting spot. Battling for a $10,000 payday, Carrier Jr. gained two spots in the 50-lap affair recording a 6th place outing.

On Saturday morning Eddie Carrier Jr. returned to action for Thursday’s $7,000-to-win makeup feature; the Edward Coggins Memorial event honoring a late fan of Golden Isles Speedway. Starting on the 3rd row for his heat, Eddie scored a runner-up finish behind Jonathan Davenport transferring him into the main event. 1Later on Saturday afternoon, Eddie registered the 3rd fastest qualifying time in his group, earning him a front row starting spot for his heat alongside Jonathan Davenport. Transferring the top four into the main event, Carrier Jr. landed a runner-up finish behind Davenport. With the rain eventually postponing the Saturday nights feature to Sunday, Eddie was slated to start on the 3rd row for the $15,000-to-win A-Main. Holding onto his 5th place starting position, Eddie Carrier Jr. posted his best finish of the weekend trailing Josh Richards, Jared Landers, Jonathan Davenport, and Scott Bloomquist across the finish line.
